Picis CEO Todd Cozzens to Drive Discussion on “Preserving Profitability in Healthcare” at 2009 TEPR+

Cozzens to reveal strategies for using business intelligence to reach hospital strategic goals, retain revenue and remain competitive in a challenging economy

WAKEFIELD, Mass.
— Jan 26, 2009 — Picis today announced that CEO and Vice Chairman Todd Cozzens will chair the Business Office Improvement educational track and conduct a key session at this year’s Toward Electronic Patient Record (TEPR+) Conference, February 2-5, in Palm Springs, Calif.

Cozzens’ session, “Preserving Profitability: The Value of Integrating BI into Healthcare,” will offer insight into how business intelligence (BI) technologies have become critical to a hospital’s ability to preserve revenue and remain competitive. Cozzens will outline how the recent surge of electronic health records, industry regulations and increasing pressure to remain profitable has created unprecedented challenges and opportunities for the healthcare industry. BI stands out as a technology that has delivered substantial improvements in quality and cost reductions in many other industries. Cozzens will provide real-life examples on the use of BI in many large- and medium-sized healthcare organizations – for business activity monitoring and multidimensional reporting and analysis – and how it has allowed one Massachusetts-based hospital to reach their strategic goals, increase profitability, ensure compliance and improve patient and staff satisfaction.

WHEN:
Monday, February 2, 4:45-5:15 pm

WHERE:
TEPR+
California Convention Center, Palm Springs, Calif.
Presentation room to be announced
